Since YU has exclusive Cyanogen rights for India, the update was bound to arrive on Yureka. Surprisingly, Cyanogen will also be providing updates for the Indian OnePlus One variants after all. “Yes, the wait is over and after a long toil for perfection, the team will roll it out in phases over the next 3 days. With a whole new world of features that include highly customized extra theming options, Cyanogen Mail, Exchange support, multiple account integration and so much more beyond the existing goodness of Android Lollipop, L is sweeter than you thought,” said Yu and Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma in a forum post.

The update will primarily bring traditional Android 5.0.2 Lollipop experience which includes loads of material design, Ambient display and Adaptive brightness, along with added gestures, new theme app, alternative email app powered by boxer and more. Cyanogen is basically sticking to all good things Android Lollipop offers, while adjusting other Cyanogen features to work in tandem. Besides updating Yureka, Yu will also launch a new 64 bit SoC powered smartphone – Yuphoria, very soon, which will be running Cyanogen OS 12 out of the box.
