Yu Televentures is reportedly all set to launch two smartphones today lying on the two extreme ends (one a flagship, other an entry level phone), and the low end model, YU Yunique has already been listed on Snapdeal for 4,999 INR.

From the initial images, we can see that the handset shares design similarity with Yuphoria (minus the rounded metal edges), with a flash ring around the scaled camera module. Since its YU that we are talking about, it’s totally reasonable to expect some mouth watering specs. The Yu Yunique comes with a 4.7 Inch IPS LCD display with 720p HD resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. There is Snapdragon 410 quad core inside ticking at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. On the rear side there is an 8MP camera with wide F2.0 aperture lens and LED flash. Selfies will be handled by 2MP front shooter which also includes an 83 degree wide angle lens on top. Software is latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is again something to cherish in this price bracket. All hardware is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

Alas, like all good things, you will have to queue up and participate in the flash sales to buy one, at least for the next few weeks. The pilot sale will be held on 12 Noon on 15th September 2015. We will be present on the ground and will bring you more details about Yu Yunique, including our initial impressions soon. (Sudhanshu Singh contributed to this report) [table id=90 /]
