Nvidia recently revealed that XOLO will soon launch XOLO Tegra Note, a tablet powered by Nvidia Tegra 4 quad core processor and equipped with 7 Inch Display in India. XOLO recently entered the tablet arena with XOLO Tab (Quick Review) which is an 8 inch tablet powered by Snapdragon quad core processor. Unveiling of this new tablet implies that XOLO is taking its venture into tablet arena quite seriously.
The processor is based on ARM’s Cortex A15 architecture and consists of 4 CPU cores and a fifth battery saver core along with 72 core GeForce GPU. This can be expected to give you powerful performance speed. The RAM capacity will be 1GB and the internal storage capacity will be 16 GB. You can extend the storage to 32 GB using external microSD card support. The 7 Inch display comes with 1280 x 800 pixel HD resolution, amounting to 215 ppi which is comfortably above average for a 7 inch tablet. Interestingly this tablet also comes with a stylus akin to Samsung’s Note series. The Primary camera is of 5 MP and a front VGA camera for video calling. There is no SIM card slot and thus you can’t use it to make calls. The battery capacity has not been specified, but Nvidia claims 10 Hrs of continuous HD video playback which is pretty good. The Tablet will contain Stock Android and Nvidia claims that it will keep providing with OTA updates regularly and the customers won’t have to depend on the Partner OEMs. Nvidia will partner with different OEMs across the globe to launch this tablet on a wide scale. XOLO recently also launched XOLO Play, a smartphone for gamers with Nvidia Tegra 4 processor. The Phone managed to gather sufficient attention and this upcoming tablet seems equally promising. We are also expecting other big guns like LG Gpad 8.3, Google Nexus 7 Second edition and Lenovo S5000 to arrive in India by the end of this year. The sluggish tablet market is now quite interesting.
