Both the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite share the same camera, display, and battery setup. The major difference can be seen in terms of hardware. While the Xiaomi Redmi Y1 offers a Snapdragon 435 processor, the Redmi Y1 Lite comes with Snapdragon 425 processor. The Redmi Y1 comes in two variants i.e. 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB while the Redmi Y1 Lite offers 2GB RAM with 16GB storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite come with a plastic build. Both phones sport a 5.5-inch IPS-LCD display with HD (1280 x 720p) display with Gorilla Glass. Cameras on both the phones are also same. The Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite come with a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and selfie flash. A 13MP rear camera is also there with f/2.2 aperture.
