Display
The Xiaomi display is 6.26 inches with notch and Full HD+ resolution; the aspect ratio is 19:9. This display comes with 500 nits maximum brightness and the color contrast ratio of 1500:1. The screen is covered with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass Protection (the version is not confirmed.)
Camera
The Rear camera in Redmi Note 6 Pro is a dual sensor setup which includes a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The smartphone comes with dual pixel autofocus for fast autofocusing. The pixel size is 1.4 µm which is better than most of the Android smartphones in this price range. The aperture size of the camera sensor is f/1.9 which is suitable for low light conditions.
The camera comes with Full HD video recording support at 30 fps, time-lapse and slow-motion video recording also available. To stabilize the video, it comes with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The rear camera can detect 32 categories in scene detection and changes the camera presets accordingly.
The front facing camera is also a dual sensor setup which includes a 20MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor which senses depth in pictures. The camera comes with lots of features like AI scene detection (12 categories), 4 in 1 Super Pixel, AI Face unlock and AI portrait selfie.
Processor, Storage, and RAM
The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with Snapdragon 636 processor which is the same as its predecessor. The processor runs at a clock rate of 1.8GHz and comes with eight Kryo 260 cores. The GPU is Adreno 509 and the Image processor is Spectra 160 which is also similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The storage which Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with is a 64GB one which uses the ext4 file system which is similar to most of the Android smartphones. You can expand the storage via microSD card in the hybrid SIM slot. The RAM which Redmi Note 6 Pro uses is a DDR4 RAM which is running at a frequency rate of 1333 Mhz. This is a dual channel RAM which is faster than traditional single channel RAM. When idle, about 32 percent or 1.8 GB of RAM is occupied out of the full useable 5.6 GB of RAM.
Battery and Other Features
The battery in Redmi Note 6 Pro is a 4000 mAh Li-ion which support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3. The charging adapter which comes in the box is a 5V 2Amp charger and it charges the smartphone completely in about 3 hours.
The smartphone comes with Face unlock as well as fingerprint lock for security. It also supports USB OTG functionality, you can connect a USB drive or charge (slowly) another device. It comes with Hybrid SIM slot; SIM + micro SD card or SIM + SIM. It comes running MIUI 10 which is still based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with almost similar specifications and hardware when it comes to performance. Xiaomi did improve the camera a little bit then Note 5 Pro, but it is not a significant improvement. But yes, if you want a notch display rather than a taller 18:9 screen and you do not own Redmi Note 5 Pro then you should definitely go for this smartphone.
