Huawei has finally launched the Honor 6X globally. The Huawei Honor 6X is the successor of the Honor 5X. It comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass. Honor 6X is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 655, octa core processor clocked at 4×2.1 GHz. It is equipped with 12 + 2 MP primary dual camera and 8 MP at the front. We have compared the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Huawei Honor 6X in term of camera and over all hands on experience. In this article we are going to compare the battery and gaming performance. Both the phones go shoulder to shoulder in terms of battery performance and gaming performance as well.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Battery Performance

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been a great example for overall performance. Be it the camera or the processor handling the performance of the device. Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 has proven to be one of the best chipsets to handle intensive activities in smartphones from this range, in addition to the overall power efficiency. Along with the chipset, the Redmi Note 4 has 4100 mAh battery which makes it a powerful handset. We checked the battery performance via gaming and Lab501 application. We ran the application for 30 minutes and played Modern Combat 5 for about 15 minutes. While I played Modern Combat, the battery dropped by 4% in 15 minutes. Lab 501 dropped full-charged battery by 3% in 30 minutes.

Gaming Performance

I played Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8 (15 minutes each) on the device. Both the games were well handled in terms of graphics and sound.

Adreno 506 seems to work well. I did not see any lag or frame drop during half hour of game testing process.

Huawei Honor 6X

Battery Performance

The Huawei Honor 6X is better known for its camera capabilities. The dual camera set up is a delight for budgetary smartphone camera lovers. Phone is decent in overall specifications and controls intensive activities in a good way. The smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 655, which is decent chipset. Yet, the phone is fast and responsive for day to day usage. Along with the chipset, it has 3340 mAh battery, which is quite less than Redmi Note 4. But, the phone doesn’t seem to be bad at battery. We ran the Lab 501 application for 30 minutes and played Modern Combat 5 for about 15 minutes. The battery dropped by 6% in 15 minutes of gaming. Lab 501 dropped full-charged battery by 4% in 30 minutes.

Gaming Performance

I played the same games as on the Redmi note 4 i.e. Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8 (15 minutes each) on honor 6X. The device did not disappoint me anywhere during the gaming session.

Mali-T830 has taken good care of graphics and I didn’t experience any frame drop or lag during the 30 minute session.

Conclusion

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Honor 6X are good smartphones altogether. Starting from chipsets and coming down to battery capacities, both phones have good power and application management. Redmi Note 4 goes slightly ahead of in terms of battery as it is equipped with 4100 mAh battery and honor 6X is equipped with 3340 mAh battery. Even in the Lab501 application test, we had charged the phones up to the brim of 100%. Redmi Note 4 got discharged by 3% and Honor 6X got discharged by 4%. Gaming experiences were also alike and of close call.
