Xiaomi confirmed the launch of the Mi Mix 2 in a weibo post. The venue for the launch is the University of Technology Gymnasium in Beijing. While the company confirmed the date and the venue, there has been no official information regarding the pricing and availability of the device. As per the rumours, the Mi Mix 2 will come with an impressive screen to body ratio of 93%, beating its predecessor, the Mi Mix which came with a screen to body ratio of 91.3%. The Mi Mix 2 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Quad HD display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It may come in 4 / 6 GB RAM variants along with 128 / 256 GB of internal storage. The device is expected to feature a dual camera setup on the back and a 13MP camera on the front. It is expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery. To recall, the Mi Mix came with a 6.4 inch full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 / 6 GB RAM, 128 / 256 GB internal storage, 16MP primary camera, 5MP secondary camera and a 4,400 mAh battery. The Mi Mix was priced at CNY 3,499 for the 4GB RAM variant. Its successor, the Mi Mix 2 is expected to be priced above CNY 4,000.
