Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 Lite alongside Mi A2 and it is the global version of Redmi 6 Pro, that was launched in China earlier this month. Interestingly, the Mi A2 Lite becomes the first smartphone with stock Android UI that features a notch display.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Price, Availability

The Mi A2 Lite is priced at 199 Euros (Rs. 14,434 approx.) for the 3GB+32GB version and 229 Euros (Rs. 18,465 roughly) for the 4GB+64GB version. Surprisingly, it will not be launched in India, however, it will come to India’s neighboring countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh etc.

The Mi A2 Lite sports a 5.84-inch FHD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 19:9 aspect ratio i.e. a notch on top. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD slot.

In terms of camera, it has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 5MP front-facing camera. Being an Android One device, it will run stock Android 8.1 Oreo without MIUI and will also receive the Android P very soon. Connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS and micro USB. It houses a 4000mAh battery. It could be the first smartphone in India with stock Android UI and notch display, but, sadly it will not come to India. Whereas the Mi A2 that has an 18:9 display, but better hardware and cameras will be heading to India very soon.
