The new Mi A2 is the global version of Mi 6X that Xiaomi introduced back in April in China. The Mi A2 is said to feature similar specs as the Mi 6X with some changes like it will pack stock Android OS just like the last year’s Mi A1. The India launch is also expected soon after the global launch on July 24.
Xiaomi Mi A2 expected specifications
The new Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to sport a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The phone will be running stock Android 8.1 Oreo.
In terms of camera, it will sport dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary rear camera with LED flash, f/1.75 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, and a 20MP secondary camera with f/1.75 aperture. There will be a 20MP front camera with Sony IMX376 sensor with soft LED flash. There is a back mounted Fingerprint sensor, but the phone might also feature Face Unlock tech. Connectivity options on the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. It will pack a 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to come in similar color options as the 6X. However, it was revealed last week that Mi A2 will come in Gold, Blue, and Black colors. The Mi A2 price in India will be revealed when it goes official in India most likely in August.
