Xiaomi also launched a controller dock for the Black Shark Helo dubbed Black Shark Biplane Handle. The 6GB/8GB RAM models will come with the Biplane Handle for the left side and the 10GB RAM model will get on both the sides. They also teased joystick case with dual fans for additional cooling and a 3D protective case at the event.

The Black Shark Helo comes with a 6.01-inch Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) 18:9 display with HDR support even in games and an independent image processing chip. It has a metal back shell with RGB logo on the back with AI game lighting that changes with the game and also the 3D glass on the back offers a 3D look.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU and up to 10GB LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with up to 256GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The gaming phone comes with dual liquid cooling pipes to keep the phone cool while gaming by reducing the CPU temperature by up to 12-degree. In terms of optics, it has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, 1.25µm pixel size, dual-tone LED flash and a 20MP secondary camera with  f/1.75 aperture. There is a 20MP front-facing camera with 1.0µm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture.

The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Joy UI on top. The Dual SIM phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C. It has 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It also supports Hi-Fi Audio and sports dual front speakers. The fingerprint sensor sits on the back. It has a dedicated 2 stage SHARK key for immersive gaming.

Price, availability

The Xiaomi Black Shark Helo price starts at 3199 yuan (Rs. 33,920 approx.) for the 6GB+128GB version. The 8GB+128GB version is priced at 3499 yuan (Rs. 37,100 approx.). The 10GB+256GB version with both gamepads costs 4199 yuan (Rs. 44,520 approx.). The Black Shark Helo will go on sale in China from October 30. There is no word o it’s global availability yet.
