Well, the vendor has announced that it will be launching the Vivo X5 Max smartphone in India on December 15. Once this device releases in India, it will take up the position of slimmest smartphone and will take on the Gionee Elife S5.1. Though the Vivo X5 Max is yet to be unveiled, the handset recently got certified in China revealing the specifications of the handset. According to the leaked traits, the Vivo offering would run on Android 4.4 KitKat and boast of a 5.5 inch FHD 1080p display. It is said to be powered by a 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The handset is likely to pack in 16 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 128 GB. The Vivo X5 Max is claimed to feature a 13 MP primary snapper and a 5 MP front facing camera to cater to the imaging needs. While the handset is claimed to carry a thin profile of 4.75 mm, it is said to measure a mere 3.75 mm without the camera bulge. The firm is likely to have managed to achieve such a thin profile by shifting around 90 percent of the innards to the sides of the screen. We will get to know more details regarding this smartphone once the device goes official.
