Vivo launched the X21 in its X series back in March this year in China and it was made official in India just two months ago. Now within six months after the X21 launch, the company is bringing its successor Vivo X23.
Vivo X23 Features
The Vivo X23 has been listed on Vivo’s Chinese website with ‘coming soon’ tag. The specifications of the X23 have also previously leaked on Weibo. As per the spec sheet and official listing, the smartphone will sport a large 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It will be a waterdrop notch display similar to the one on the Oppo F9. As per the office listing, the X23 will have an impressive 91.2 percent screen to body ratio.
It could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM. The processor is an upgrade over the 660 SoC that powers the X21. In terms of storage, the Vivo X23 could pack 128GB of internal which will also be expandable. The smartphone will run the Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. In terms of optics, there will be a vertically stacked dual camera set up at the back. However, the exact camera specs are not known yet. The device is also expected to come with an improved in-display fingerprint scanner when compared to X21. Additionally, the smartphone will feature a dedicated audio DAC. The Vivo X23 could go official anytime soon in China. Meanwhile, in India, Vivo is planning to launch its V11 smartphone on September 6. Interestingly, the Vivo V11 live image also shows a similar waterdrop notch design.
