The Moto Z Play is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It is further coupled to 3GB RAM and a 32GB storage. Though, the RAM is higher on the Vivo V5 Plus but, Moto Z Play storage can be further enhanced through microSD up to 256GB. The multitasking and gaming are hassle free in the Vivo V5 Plus and the same is experienced in the Moto Z Play as well. The only difference is that Moto Z Play experience a slightly higher rate of heating during heavy gaming.

When Vivo is promoting the V5 Plus as a selfie-focused camera, it is quite obvious that expectations for camera quality is slightly higher than its competitor. V5 Plus features 16MP primary camera while a 20MP + 8MP dual front camera.
The Moto Z Play also features a 16MP camera with dual LED but at the back but, the front gets a 5MP camera with a LED flash. Clearly, the dual camera setup is better on papers and likely in the real-time results as well.
Connectivity
Connectivity options of Vivo V5 Plus include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and FM radio. The Moto Z Play features dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC but, it lacks Radio. It also features USB Type-C 1.0 with a reversible connector.

Fueling the Vivo V5 Plus is its non-removable 3160 mAh battery while the Moto Z play comes with a 3150 mAh battery. Vivo V5 Plus has a slightly bigger battery pack and thus, we can expect a bit improved battery life in V5 Plus.

The Vivo V5 Plus comes with a dual camera setup at the front and thus it is higher in the price range than Moto Z Play. The Vivo V5 Plus is priced at Rs 27, 980 and will be available for pre-orders from 24 January. The sales will begin from February 1. Apart from better camera configuration, Vivo V5 Plus does not perform extraordinary than Moto Z Play. The performance, camera output, and battery life are better in the Vivo V5 Plus but, even software experience and display are not bad in the Moto Z Play as well. So, if you are a person who needs significant performance along with a better camera quality than Vivo V5 Plus is a good choice with some extra bucks.
