The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snaodragon 439 processor which is further paired with 3GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 13MP + 2MP camera setup on the back which comes with f/2.2 and f/2,4 aperture size respectively. The smartphone comes with an 8 MP camera on the front for selfies with f/1.8 aperture size. The smartphone comes with the face unlock feature as well. The Vivo U1 packs a 4030 mAh battery and micro USB port for charging. The smartphone runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone is also IP58 water resistent and can bear some splashes easily.

The Vivo U1 comes at a starting price of CNY 799 for 3GB and 32GB variant. There are two more variants available; 3GB/ 64GB and 4GB/64GB which are priced for CNY 999 and CNY 1,199 respectively. There are three colors available including Starry night black, Auroura Blue and Aurora Red. The smartphone can be booked from the online store but the shipping will start on February 26.
