The Gionee Elife S5.5 is the world’s slimmest smartphone and it broke cover at the MWC 2014. It comes with 5 inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Taking charge of the processing department is a 1.7 GHz true Octa core processor from Mediatek and it gets a 2GB RAM as well alongside the same. The internal storage capacity stands at 16GB but it won’t be available for expansion. At the back is a 13MP camera and it is joined in by a 5MP front camera. It runs on Android 4.2 based on Amigo UI. It is merely 5.5mm in profile and that is what makes it the world’s slimmest smartphone. A 2,300 mAh battery is what powers the phone.

ZTE had showcased the Grand Memo 2 LTE at MWC 2014 which is a pretty slim device as well with a thickness of 7.2mm. The phablet has 6.0 inch screen which has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 245ppi. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset under the hood. The internal storage stands at 16GB which can be expanded by another 32GB with a microSD card. Taking charge of the multitasking department is a 2GB RAM. At the back is a 13.0MP camera with a 5.0MP front camera. It gets 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for aiding your connectivity. A 3,200 mAh battery unit gives the smartphone the juice to run.

ZTE is slowly getting a thing for slim smartphones. ZTE Nubia Z5S which was also showcased at the MWC 2014 after its launch last year has a thickness of 7.6mm. It has a 5.0 inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and gets a Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood clocked at 2.3 GHz coupled with Adreno 330 GPU. At the back is a 13MP camera coupled with a 5.0MP front snapper. The internal storage capacity of the smartphone stands at 16GB and 32GB which can’t be further expanded. Taking charge of multitasking is a 2GB RAM and juicing things up is a 2,300 mAh battery which we think is a bit less for a flagship device. It gets LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, dual-band, DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot for ensuring that you remain connected.

It gets a 2.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood teamed up with a 2GB RAM. Internal storage is 16GB and the device will run on Androud 4.3 Jelly Bean. At the rear will be a 13.0MP camera and at the front will be a 2.0 MP camera unit. To give it the juice, ZTE has bestowed it with a 3,000 mAh battery which will get things done pretty decently. Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, LTE and NFC for connectivity.

Sony Xperia Z2 will be the flagship smartphone for Sony henceforth and comes with a spec sheet that is so compelling that you’d find it hard to ignore the device. It is just 8.1 mm slim and gets a 5.2 inch display with a full HD resolution. Under the hood is a 2.3 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 801 processor that joins hands with a 3GB RAM. Internal storage is 16GB and can be expanded by another 64GB. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with a 20.7MP rear camera and a 2.2MP front camera. A 3,200 mAh battery unit takes care of juicing up the device. Its price is yet to be announced.
