Spice recently introduced Spice Smart Flo Mi 359 which unabashedly bears semblance to HTC One M8 lying on the other end of the spectrum. The phone includes a 1.3 GHz dual core chipset, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB native storage, 2 MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front shooter and a 1400 mAh battery.

Karbonn Smart A12 Star comes with slightly better hardware on paper compared to the other two devices listed above, but it also costs 1K more. The hardware includes 4 Inch IPS LCD display with WVGA resolution, 1.2 GHz dual core chipset, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 5 MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 1400 mAh battery. Karbonn Smart A12 Star is retailing for around 4,000 INR in India.

Conclusion

These low cost smartphones aren’t meant to provide a durable full fledged Android experience but are meant for gullible first time users switching from feature phones. Firefox OS based smartphones will perhaps soon arrive in India which claim to provide better than entry level Android experience for as low as 25 dollar.
