The 5.3 inch display packs 1280 x 720 pixel HD resolution and is aided by Bravia Engine 2. The phablet sports traditional Xperia Unibody design with dedicated camera key and metallic trim around the edges. In spite of extra large vertical Bezels, Sony has opted for Software Navigation keys. The chipset remains same as Xperia T2 Ultra with 1.4 GHz Cortex A7 based Snapdragon 400, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Operating system is the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and Sony has also provided with a MicroSD card slot.
Imaging hardware has been trimmed down to 8 MP primary shooter with Sony Exymor RS sensor and 1.1 MP front camera for selfies. LED Flash is also present for low light photography. The phone supports 4G LTE, but it’s unlikely that we will see 4G LTE variant in India. Battery capacity is 2500 mAh and that should last one day of moderate usage. Battery Saving Stamina mode is also present. Xperia T3 also supports NFC connectivity. Xperia T3 is expected to be priced in the vicinity of 20,000 INR and will be available globally starting from end of July, 2013. It will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 in India.
