The A68 inherits many features from the previous A77M2. The A68 utilises Sony’s 4D FOCUS system to offer better AF performance under any shooting conditions ranging from lighting as low as EV-2. The phase detection system uses 79 focus points, including 15 cross points.

The body has been priced at Rs. 55,950. Sony is selling the A68 in two kits. The first kit comes with a 18-55mm lens that is priced at Rs 59,990 and a second kit with a 18-135mm lens that is priced at Rs 85,990. The A68 comes with a 24 megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor with ISO 100-25,600 sensitivity range. It has been paired with Sony’s speedy BIONZ X image processor that uses Detail Reproduction and Diffraction-reducing Technologies plus Area-specific Noise Reduction for finely detailed shots. The camera has a dedicated f/2.8 sensor point for better low-light shots. The camera features OLED Tru-Finder, and comes with 100 per cent frame coverage. The 2.7-type LCD monitor tilts up to 135 degrees upwards or 55 degrees downwards for wide shooting angles. Sony has added a special colour tune-up for shooting in weddings. The A68 comes with a 18-135 mm lens (SAL18135) bundle kit for weddings. Sony has also included optional accessories like flash, lights, microphones and remote commanders with the camera. The A68 can record full-HD videos in the XAVC S format up to 50Mbps. The A68 integrates a control wheel on the rear side that allows quick fingertip adjustment of camera settings. In addition, 10 customisable buttons can be assigned for instant access to frequently-used functions. It also has a front control dial for quick adjustments of settings and a sturdy grip to ensure that you are balanced, even when using heavyweight prime or telephoto lenses. It comes with SteadyShot INSIDE that reduces the effects of camera shake for blur-free handheld shooting. Sony A68 will be available at all Sony Center, Alpha flagship stores and major electronic stores across India.
