After Opus Q1000, Opus 2 and Opus HD, Xolo has introduced yet another variant –The Xolo Opus 3, in the same series. The information comes from reliable source MaheshTelecom, and also reveals that Opus 3 has been priced at Rs. 8,490 in India.
This is first time Xolo is using 1.3 GHz MT6582 quad core chipset in its Opus line of smartphone. The earlier variants used Broadcomm and Snapdragon 200 SoCs. The chipset is aided by standard 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage in the same price segment. The display is 5 Inches in Size with 720p HD resolution. Xolo has used an IPS LCD display panel for wide viewing angles. The display sharpness and size is a high point of this new Opus smartphone, but the imaging hardware is even more interesting. The rear 8 MP camera uses a Sony Exmor R Sensor with Dual LED flash support for low light photography. The wide angle front 5 MP selfie camera with wide f2.0 aperture is also equipped with an LED flash to entice selfie lovers, similar to Lava Iris X5. A juicy 2500 mAh battery will power all hardware. Other expected features include dual SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Software is expected to be Android 4.4 KitKat. Selfie focused Xolo Opus 3 seems to do all things right on paper. It sounds like a decent quad core smartphone with a sharp display, quad core chipset and decent imaging hardware.
