Samsung Galaxy J5 is a 5 Inch 720p HD Display device, while Galaxy J7 scales the same resolution to 5.5 Inches. Samsung is not using its treasured AMOLED display on either of the two and has rather opted for IPS LCD panels. The Galaxy J5 is powered by 64 bit Snapdragon 410 quad core, and Galaxy J7 includes its more powerful octa core sibling, the Snapdragon 615 clocked at 1.5 GHz. Other specifications are almost similar. There is 1.5 GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, MicroSD support, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture lens, 5 MP front camera, also with LED flash and 120 degree wide angle lens, Dual SIM card support and 4G LTE. Since Galaxy J7 is bigger, it houses a bigger 3000 mAh battery(Vs 2600 mAh). Both smartphones will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop based TouchWiz pre-installed.
Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 come in Black, White and Gold color options, priced at 1,398 Yuan ($225 or 14,360 INR), and the Galaxy J7 costs 1,798 Yuan ($289 or 18468 INR). We have heard whispers that these smartphones are heading for India, sooner rather than later.
