The key highlight of the phone is its massive 7000 mAh battery pack. The battery is not a single pack but, it is a set of two 3500mAh batteries, which is further supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and dual fast charging chip. According to Gionee, the phone can play video till 25 hours continuously while the standby capacity is 915.42 hours.
The other specifications of the phone include a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 X 1440 pixels) display with sapphire glass protection. Powering it is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. Accompanying the processor are 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage capacity. The limited edition will be available with 256 GB storage. The camera duties include a dual rear camera setup with 12 MP and 13 MP sensors and LED flash. At the front, it has an 8MP camera. It will be running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with company’s Amigo OS 3.5. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 Type-C port, WiFi 802.11 ac, OTG and GPS. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack and a front facing fingerprint sensor. For now, the phone is available in China and as Gionee confined itself to mid level phones in India, the probability of bringing it in the Indian market is quite less. Still, let’s see if there is any change in strategy for Gionee for 2017.
