Currently, the software package is being distributed as an over-the-air (OTA) update that should be ready to download in India after the flagship smartphone makes its entry in the South Asian market on May 5. The update has been already started rolling out in some of the markets where the smartphone was launched in April. The particular update recalibrates the color balance of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus display which is also possible through manual settings.

The new update will require 486 MB and it will also tweak the performance of the phone a bit. But, it is not officially confirmed by the official changelog. This is the potion which highlights the changes of the update.

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users will be running the XXU1AQDG firmware version after the update and the ones who have not received the update notification should try manual settings. In the Settings section, tap on “Software update” option and select “Download updates manually” from the menu. Considering the size of the new firmware build, users should connect their devices to a Wi-Fi network before starting the download. The manufacturer previously stated that it is hoping to take a significant share in the market with its next flagship. In addition to this, the smartphone will also help the company in making its position strong in the high-end smartphone segment. More information about the update and performance change of the flagship smartphone is expected to come soon. Stay tune to get the latest updates on the update of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
