Camera and Internal Storage
The tablets have still not progressed to an advanced level like the smartphones in the photography department. The reason for the same is their form factor that makes them difficult to carry them around as photography devices. But, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 comes with an acceptable camera segment with its 8 MP primary snapper paired with LED flash for better low-light photography and FHD video recording. To accompany this camera, there is a 2.1 MP front-facing unit taking control of the video chatting and selfies segment. Likewise its 8.4 inch kin, this tablet also comes in two options – 16 GB and 32 GB of native storage space that can be expanded externally up to a whopping 128 GB to save all the multimedia files. Again, this is impressive considering that for many users this 128 GB would be too huge to store their files and documents.
Processor and Battery
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 packs the octa-core chipset from the Samsung’s stable – Exynos 5 Octa that comprises two quad-core processors – a 1.9 GHz Cortex A15 processor and a 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor. The chipset is capable of saving up to 70 percent of the energy by switching between the processors to carry out the tasks. Again, there is a 3 GB of RAM in the device that can take charge of the multi-tasking department efficiently. The battery on the tablet is an impressive 7,900 mAh unit which should give you plenty hours of usage of the device on a single charge as it arrives with the Ultra Power Saving Mode.
Display and Features
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 comes with a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display panel that has a similar resolution as its smaller kin – 2560×1600 pixels. Again, the aspect ratio stands at 16:10 and it uses Adaptive Display feature to automatically adjust the contrast, saturation and other details based on the ambient light conditions. The tablet shares the software features from the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and some of them include Mode, Group Play, S-Note, S Translator, Samsung Link, Scrapbook, Story Album, Quick Connect, Papergarden, Marvel Unlimited membership, Kindle for Samsung, My Library, Netflix, Fingerprint Scanner as in the Galaxy S5 and Kids Mode.
Comparison
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be a stiff challenger to Apple iPad Air, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet and Lenovo Yoga 10+ HD.

The device definitely has one of best displays that even saves the battery life to some extent and it has fingerprint scanner that is an added attraction.
