It sports an upgraded Full-HD (1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection as compared to Galaxy J7 (2016). Under the hood, it runs an 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has got 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable via micro-SD card slot. Camera optics include, a 13MP rear cam with an f/1.9 aperture with LED flash and a 8MP front facing camera with an f/1.9 aperture.

This time it has got an all metal body  design for a much more premium look and feel. It also features a Fingerprint sensor on the front which doubles up as a home button. It runs on Android Marshmallow (6.0) with Samung’s own Touchwiz UI on top. It packs a 3,300mAh battery and supports dual-SIM. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass, USB-OTG and Micro-USB. It measures 151.5 x 74.9 x 8.1mm. There is no word about official launch yet so it’s hard to comment on it’s global launch. It will be quite interesting in terms of pricing as it has got a pretty decent mid-range specification.
