The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 will have the same 16.3 MP , 1/ 2.3 inch BSI CMOS sensor along with same F/2.8 – 5.9 aperture, 23 mm wide 21 x lens. The LCD screen display also remains same with 4.8-inch, HD Super Clear Touch LCD Screen. The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is powered by slightly faster 1.6 GHz quad core processor backed by 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 64 GB. On the software front this camera comes with Android 4.3 operating system and latest version of TouchWiz UI on top of it.
The battery capacity is 2000 mAh and connectivity features include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and Bluetooth. The “Tag and Go” feature lets you connect this camera easily with your smartphone using NFC. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p HD videos at up to 30 fps. The new “Multi Motion” feature allows you to alter the frame rate to give slow motion and other special effects. Sensors included are Accelerometer, Geo- Magnetic and 2 Gyro –Sensor one for OIS. Based on the spec sheet, the camera part of the Galaxy Camera 2 remains mostly unchanged, but there has been an upgrade to the internals. This next generation galaxy camera will be showcased at CES next week, but there is no word on the pricing yet.
