The Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with a 5.7 inch full HD display featuring Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology. The pixel density of the display is at ~386 PPI. Samsung has launched the Galaxy A8 (2016) with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with the latest version of TouchWiz on top. Running the phone is an Exynos processor. The Galaxy A8 (2016) is run by an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor built on a 14nm processor. It comes with 4 Cortex A57 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and 4 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. Assisting the CPU is a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. On the memory front, the Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 256 GB. Coming to the cameras, the Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with a 16 MP camera on the back, along with an LED flash and support for 1080p recording at 30 FPS. On the front, you get an 8 MP camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and 1080p recording. In other features, the Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with a fingerprint reader and the Always On Dsplay feature. Connectivity options include Single or Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The phone is powered by a 3300 mAh battery.

Pricing And Availability

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A8 (2016) in South Korea today, at a price of KRW 649,000 (approx $580 or Rs. 38600). International release dates are not known yet, but we will update you as soon as there’s more information about launches in other markets.
