The new Exynos 9810 chipset is designed to enhance user experience using deep learning software algorithms. It also features a faster LTE modem to support faster downlink and uplink speeds of up to 1.2Gbps and 200Mbps respectively. This chipset also supports supports 4K UHD playback and recording at up to 120 fps frame rate. The Exynos 9810 chipset features dual ISP (Image Signal Processor) which supports up to four image sensors such as dual sensors for the rear along with a camera and iris sensor on the front. It further features the latest Mali-G72 GPU which brings 20% more powerful performance compared to its predecessor.

The new Exynos 9-series chipset will be powering the non-US variants of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. In the US, the upcoming flagships will feature the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, which is also built on the same 10nm process with eight cores and faster LTE speeds. The mass production of the Exynos 9810 chipset has been started which hints directly to its use in the upcoming flagship, Galaxy S9, and S9+. Finer details about Samsung’s latest chipset should be revealed closer to official launch of the company’s next generation of flagship smartphones.
