Intex was the first Indian manufacturer to announce an 8-core MT6592 phone, but as expected, Micromax have already jumped the gun, if rumours are to be believed. This bit of news comes from none other than MMXnewscaster, popular for propagating Micromax-related news. Apart from the 8 core MT6592 processor, there were a few other details that were leaked.
This includes a custom UI – most manufacturers like Gionee and even Huawei offer their own customized versions of Android on cell phones; it is high time Micromax do something similar. After all, the company is India’s largest smartphone manufacturer at this point. Other details of the upcoming octa-core phone include 3000mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM among others. Micromax’s current flagship, i.e., the Micromax Canvas Turbo, comes with 2GB RAM, a quad core processor and a full HD screen. [Source]
