Reliance Jio have thought of a solution to all this chaos. That would be delivery of the SIM’s directly to your house. Rumors suggest that Jio has planned to open an online portal where the interested buyers can enter their name, alternate contact number, proof of address and identity. Once, you fill in the portal, the SIM is expected to reach your doorstep within a week. It is also believed that some test deliveries are also carried out till now.
This will be advantageous to the customers as they can get their SIM delivered easily to their homes avoiding all the queues. Also, it would bring an end to the black market sales of the Jio SIM. We must note that this is important because we have seen SIM sold for nearly Rs 1,000 which was intended to be sold freely.
Still not got a Jio SIM? Here are the steps to buy one
Jio which had earlier planned a target of 100 million, has now extended it to 250 million. This would mean that Jio would be the second largest telecom company after Bharti Airtel. And the rate at which Jio is growing would surely make this a reality. We must note that major telecom companies also deliver SIM to your house if you purchase a post-paid connection. The Jio SIM comes bundled with the Welcome Offer which would give high speed 4G data upto 4GB then the speed would be reduced to 128 Kb. Apart from this you also get unlimited calling, messaging and get to use the Jio fleet of apps completely free until 31st of December.
