The Redmi 7A price in India starts at Rs. 5,999. At this same price point, Realme launched Realme C2 in India back in April. Realme’s phone comes with dewdrop notch display, Helio P22 processor and dual rear cameras at a starting price of Rs. 5,999. Let’s find out which of them is the best budget phone under Rs. 6,000.

Redmi 7 Vs Realme C2

Design and Display: Old 18:9 display vs dewdrop notch

Since these are the budget phones so they sport polycarbonate body. The back of the Redmi 7A looks simple without any gradient or gloss. The Realme C2 comes with a diamond cut pattern on the back that isn’t glossy either. Realme C2 is slimmer and lightweight than Redmi 7A. Overall, design-wise Realme C2 looks a little better, as it also has a dewdrop notch at the front.

Realme C2 comes with dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera for depth effects. It also clicks good pictures justifying its price. It also has a 5MP AI selfie camera. Winner: Can’t say now.

Performance: Snapdragon 439 vs Helio P22

The Redmi 7A gets a new Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor that is paired with 2GB RAM. This is a new 12nm series processor clocked at up to 2.0GHz that has some improvements in terms of camera and power consumption. The Realme C2 has MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core chipset inside. It is also a 12nm process based processor clocked at up to 2.0GHz. They may perform the same, however, in terms of multitasking Snapdragon could be a little better. Winner: Redmi 7

Software: MIUI vs ColorOS

Verdict

At Rs. 5,999, Realme offers a better design and display as well as a good processor. While in terms of camera specs, Redmi 7A could offer better results. It has a better processor as well. Overall, if you are going to buy a good looking budget phone, Realme C2 could be a better deal but Xiaomi’s phone has its own benefits in terms of performance and camera.
