Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Specifications
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset uses the same eight cores which we saw on Snapdragon 710, except for the clock speed. The cores are arranged in a similar cluster as before; two performance cores and six supporting cores. The two Kryo 360 cores are based on Cortex A75 and can be clocked up to 2.3GHz. The other six cores are the same Kryo 360 cores based on Cortex A55 clocked at 1.7GHz.
The Snapdragon 712 chipset will use the same Adreno 616 GPU and X15 LTE modem with 800Mbps down and 150Mbps up speeds. The chipset comes with the Spectra 250 ISP which support one 32MP sensor or two 20MP sensors. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0, but the support for fast charging has been upgraded to QuickCharge 4+ from QC4. In the audio segment, it supports TruWireless Stereo Plus and Broadcast audio features as well. Qualcomm also said that the Snapdragon 712 chipset would feature a faster integration with AI. Qualcomm hasn’t revealed which smartphone is going to use it for the first time, but we might see some smartphones running SD 712 at MWC 2019.
