Xiaomi has released a new smartphone in the Poco series, Poco M2 Pro. if you look closely, this smartphone will remind you of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This smartphone inherits a lot more than just the looks from the Redmi Note 9 Pro like the Snapdragon 720G SoC. To recall, with the same processor, Realme also launched Realme 6 Pro. Here we are comparing POCO M2 Pro Vs Realme 6 Pro to tell you which is the best option for you.
POCO M2 Pro Vs Realme 6 Pro
Design and Build: You Decide
The Poco M2 Pro borrows the design from the Redmi Note 9 Pro but with a different color scheme going around. Poco M2 Pro comes with the same build quality as the Redmi Note 9 Pro. It comes with a Gorilla Glass 5 rear and front protection with a large camera bump at the back. The Realme 6 Pro again comes with a generic Realme smartphone design with a different color finish at the back. It also comes with the same build quality as the Poco M2 Pro with a glass back and big camera bump. Both smartphone weights about the same and the thickness are not different at all.
The Poco M2 Pro and Realme 6 Pro are similar in build quality and design with a bit of rearrangement of the features. The color schemes are different too which is completely on the consumer for the liking. In our opinion, both the smartphones get one point each for doing a great on the design and build quality.
Display: 90Hz is smooth
Display on both the smartphone are similar in the specification except, for one thing, the refresh rate on the Realme 6 Pro is 90Hz. Except for this one thing, you get almost a similar display on both smartphones. Both come with a 6.6 inches display with FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Both smartphones come with a punch-hole design on the display rather than a notch or a pop-up selfie camera. You get a wider punch-hole on the Realme 6 Pro on the top left with dual selfie camera built-in. While Poco M2 Pro comes with a single punch hole placed at the center of the display. So both the smartphone are similar when comes to the display of either device. You will be able to enjoy multimedia content on both smartphones. However, you will be surprised to know that POCO M2 Pro has a brighter panel than Realme 6 Pro. The only big difference which helps the Realme 6 Pro to grab a point is the smooth 90Hz refresh rate on the display. But you need to pay a couple grand more for that price.
Performance: Tough Choice
The Poco M2 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G which is an 8nm processor with a 2.3GHz boost clock. The processor is then paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. You can play games at low to medium settings which is the best you can get from the chipset you are getting.
When comes to the Realme 6 Pro, it comes the same Snapdragon 720G chipset with similar clock frequency. The processor in Realme 6 Pro is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The two factors which make the Realme 6 Pro best choice over the Poco M2 Pro are more RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. But for that, you need to pay about three thousand more.
Camera: 2X Telephoto Zoom and Dual Selfie Camera
The Poco M2 Pro comes with the same old quad-camera step which you find in the Redmi Note 9 Pro. You get a 48MP main sensor, with 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. You get a 16MP selfie camera with a bunch of beauty mode and portrait features.
Realme 6 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a quad-camera setup with bigger sensors. You get a 64MP main sensor, with a 12MP telephoto sensor for 2X optical zoom, an 8MP wide sensor, and a 2MP depth/macro sensor. You get dual selfie camera, 16MP main, and an 8MP wide sensor for wider selfies.
Battery and Charging: 30W vs 33W
Both smartphones come with a big battery and a super-fast charger inside the box. The Poco M2 Pro comes with a 5000 mAh battery and 33W fast charging which can charge 50 percent in 30 minutes. The Realme 6 Pro comes with a 4300 mAh battery and 30 Watt fast charging. The advertised charging time is 57 minutes to charge the phone to 100 percent. Both the smartphones are best and if battery matters to you then choose whichever. Also, read- Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Realme 6 Pro
Conclusion
Writing this conclusion is a bit difficult for me because the bigger the differences between the specs of these smartphones, the bigger the price. But I will still suggest you go for the Realme 6 Pro if you can extend the budget a few thousand. You get a high refresh rate display, better camera, and faster storage. The POCO M2 Pro starts at Rs. 13,999 and it will be available via Flipkart starting from July 14, while Realme 6 Pro is available on Flipkart starting at Rs. 17,999.
