The OPPO N1 sports a 5.9 inch display with 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution amounting to 377 pixels per inches. The phone runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean operating system and OPPO will also sell limited edition Cynogen Mod variant for OPPO Fans in India. The OPPO N1 is powered by 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 quad core processor backed by Adreno 320 GPU and 2 GB RAM, a similar chipset as that in HTC One. The internal storage is 16 GB/ 32 GB in two variants. The storage is not expandable. The 13 MP CMOS sensor camera (from Sony) has a dedicated ISP and the Swivel mechanism which lets the camera module rotate by 206 degrees. This allows the wide Aperture f/2.0 camera is supported by Fujitsu IPS imaging chip and dual LED flash to be used as a front shooter as well. Another interesting feature is O – Touch, the touch sensitive area under the camera which can be used to play music, browse web and more. The battery capacity is 3650 mAh which seems adequate. Oppo N1 will be available in total of 12 different cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ludhiana. The price tag of Rs. 39,999 wasn’t unexpected but is still in the premium range. It will be interesting to see how a relatively new brand in India competes against well established players at premium range. OPPO however is not a small fish in the pond. OPPO will also launch OPPO Find 5 Mini, OPPO Neo and OPPO R1 in India soon. We will Soon post our Initial Hands-on for OPPO N1! Stay tuned
