OPPO has used, what it calls ‘Super Screen 2.0’ technology to render 2560 x 1440 pixels on the 5.5 inch phablet display giving it its ppi busting display with 538 pixels per inches. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Full HD 1080p variant also packs 5.5 inch display with slightly trimmed down specifications. The Processor used in the QHD version is Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC, same as Galaxy S5, with 4 krait 400 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and assisted by 3 GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and 32 GB Expandable storage. The full HD variant on the other hand packs Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB, same as Xperia Z2, and is backed by 2 GB RAM and 16 GB expandable storage. The camera module is same in both variants. The camera sensor used is the popular 13MP Sony IMX214 CMOS with a F/2.0 lens and LED flash (same as used in OnePlus One). The camera is capable of 4K video recording and 720p recording at 120 fps (for slow motion playback).
The interesting Super Zoom feature takes 10 photos and merges them into a single 50 MP image which you can zoom in for finer details. The front 5 MP sensor can be used for video calling and selfies. The breathing notification strip below the display is another cool feature of OPPO Find 7, which was also leaked before its official launch. The battery capacity is 3000 mAh on the QHD variant and 2800 mAh on the full HD variant. Both will feature LTE, NFC and other standard connectivity features. OPPO has also announced and O-Band fitness tracking band which can record fitness data, vibrate for alarm and remind you of notifications. OPPO Find 7 also packs MaxxAudio speaker which according to OPPO will deliver great bass. The QHD version has been priced at $565 Approx and will go on sale in May- June 2014. The Full HD version will be up for sale starting tomorrow for a price tag of around $480. OPPO has definitely kept the pricing right with its new flagship as opposed to earlier phones. It remains to be seen how much the QHD display will tax the battery and weather it will make a considerable difference or not.
