Targeted at the more affordable segment, the Oppo F5 Youth has gone on sale in the Philippines for Php 13,990. The device comes with a 6-inch display, 13MP and 16MP cameras and 3GB RAM. This phone, however, features a lower-end processor compared to the Oppo F5.

Oppo F5 Youth Specifications

The company has announced that the device will be launched here in India in December.  The Oppo F5 Youth is already on sale in the Philippines as a mid-range smartphone. It comes with a 6-inch IPS-LCD panel with Full HD+ (2160x1080p) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. In terms of optics, you get a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. Being a selfie-centric smartphone, the Oppo F5 Youth gets a 16 MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone features an AI backed camera so your selfies are enhanced via facial recognition. Coming to the hardware, this is where the Oppo F5 Youth is downgraded from the Oppo F5. The phone comes with a MediaTek MT6763T Helio P 23 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The F5 youth is backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage with up to 256GB expandable memory via microSD card. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oppo’s in-house ColorOS 3.2. The ColorOS brings an optimized skin to the phone for better performance. Powered by a 3,200mAh battery, the Oppo F5 Youth shall last a full day of usage. It is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo F5 youth is available for sale in the Philippines at Php 13,990 which translates to Rs. 17,800. However, we expect this phone to be priced between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 18,000 in India when it is launched here in December.
