The new selfie centric device from the company will come with a minimal bezel display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. A few days ago, Oppo had confirmed that it is going to launch its latest selfie centric device in Philippines on October 26.
Recently, Oppo had confirmed that the selfie centric Oppo F5 would be launched in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Apart from this information, the company had also revealed some specifications and features of the device along with some images. Oppo has confirmed that the F5 will come with an 18:9 display with a full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The device is expected to come with a 6 inch display, however, the company might use a smaller display. The main highlight of the device will be its AI Beauty Recognition technology that will use artificial intelligence that will analyze various aspects such as the person’s age, gender, skin tone, lighting conditions and then referencing it with other facial images in a global database to beautify the image. Oppo has claimed that the AI will scan more than 200 facial recognition spots to learn the unique facial features of a subject (for example – the nose, cheek, lower jaw etc.), to make the ideal enhancements to the image, regardless of the facial expressions or shooting angle. The company adds that the AI will improve self learn as you take more and more selfies. We will know more about the Oppo F5 when it is launched on October 26 at City of Dreams, Pasay City, Philippines. We expect to know more details about the device in the coming weeks.
