The OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphone users had started reporting touch latency issues since last year itself. The issue is that when users start scrolling slowly on the OnePlus 3T screen, the UI doesn’t start moving immediately. With the OxygenOS 4.1.7 update, the company says that it has improved the touch latency. Carl Pei, Co-founder OnePlus confirms this in a tweet posted on Tuesday. https://twitter.com/getpeid/status/900019461004025857 Apart from this improvement in system fluidity, the company also claims to have fixed several bugs with the latest update. The update brings about battery optimisations and also updated the Android security patch to August. The OxygenOS 4.1.7 update also claims to fix a sound channel bug that showed up while recording videos. It also fixes an issue where calls were being routed to speaker accidentally by some third-party apps. Moreover, the update also brings along another fix for the App Locker issue. It was discovered recently that an app launcher app from Google Play could be used to easily bypass the app lockers offered on OxygenOS on the OnePlus 3 and 3T. Notably, as per a request made by Google if users have never updated Google Hangouts from Play Store, this update will remove the app. It is also to be noted that OnePlus has already announced that OnePlus 3, 3T will not get any major OS update after the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. However, both the phones will continue to get security updates for the foreseeable future.
