Named the ION Belt, this Kickstarter project was started by Aaron Krause no too long ago. Its basic premise is that it integrates a battery within an ordinary belt, made of leather. The belt also houses a USB port where you can plug-in any of your gadgets to start charging them. The ION Belt houses a 3000 mAh battery that is charged through the pin of the buckle(the head of the pin is actually a USB port). Once charged, you can wear it around your waist like an ordinary belt without sacrificing the flexibility of a traditional belt. When you face a situation where your gadget runs low on power, simply plug in your charging cable into the end of the belt to start charging. For convenience, a 4-step LED indicator is included to estimate the amount of charge left on the belt. Safety has been a priority behind the belt too since it is only natural for one to fear electrocution by physically wearing a 3000 mAh battery around you and the ION Belt adheres to this by using a proprietary technology called Encapsulpak that provides an insulated enclosure so you can rest easy while wearing the belt.
The project has reached half its desired goal to raise $50,000 with 39 days more to go to achieve the balance of the $ 22,863 required to bring the ION Belt into existence. By pledging $79 (INR 5,182 approx.) you will be eligible for an early bid rate on the ION Belt. Once, and if, the project materialises, the belt will be available for purchase for an estimated price of $130(INR 8,500 approx) which makes it a lucrative deal.
