HMD Global’s CEO Juho Sarvikas tweeted the poll on Thursday “Getting a lot of traffic on this so let’s ask around. Should we bring Nokia X6 to other markets too.” He also confirmed the global launch of Nokia X6 by responding with “Hold the press! We are still polling this!” to a tweet by Android Authority. In a separate news, a new smartphone from Nokia with model number TA-1103 has received Bluetooth certification. This could be the global version of the Nokia X6, however, no other information or specifications have been leaked about the device through the certification.
Nokia X6 Specifications
Nokia X6 was launched in China earlier last week in China. The smartphone comes with a 5.8 inches full HD+ display with a notch on the top. The smartphone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The smartphone comes with a 16MP+5MP dual camera setup at the back with f/2.0 aperture size. The front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter with the same aperture size. The smartphone is powered by a 3,060mAh battery.
Nokia X6 Pricing and Availability
The Nokia X6 comes with a starting price of CNY 1,299 which translates to approximately Rs 13,800. The 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 1,499 which is roughly Rs 16,000 and the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant is priced at CNY 1,699 which is roughly Rs 18,100 in INR. The smartphone will be available in China starting May 21 and it might soon be heading to other markets. However, another report citing a familiar source claims that instead of the Nokia X6, HMD Global may launch the Nokia X5 and Nokia X7 globally. The report suggests that the new models could come with a different hardware from Nokia X6.
