HMD Global has launched several budget and mid-range Nokia phones ranging from Nokia 1 to Nokia 7 Plus this year. However, the company is yet to launch a flagship Nokia phone. Now, according to a report by Winfuture, HMD is working on a high-end Nokia phone internally called the A1 Plus, and it could be launched as the Nokia 9.

Nokia A1 Plus/Nokia 9 Rumored Specifications

If this smartphone is nothing but the Nokia 9, the report claims that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset and is expected to sport 8GB of RAM, 256GB storage. It will sport a 6.01-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and it will be an OLED panel made by LG.

Interestingly, it will have the in-display fingerprint scanner same as seen on the Vivo X21. The smartphone will feature an 18-karat gold finish on the back panel and an IP68 rating for water resistance. The smartphone is expected to run on Android P and it will pack a 3900mAh battery.

In the camera department, the rumoured Nokia 9 is expected to come with a triple camera setup with 41-megapixel, 20-megapixel, and 9.7-megapixel sensors with Carl Zeiss optics. The triple camera setup will also support 4x optical zoom, and both the Xenon and LED flash modules. The report suggests that the Nokia A1 Plus or Nokia 9 may be launched commercially sometime in August or September and it could be possibly unveiled during IFA 2018 in Berlin.
