The newly launched Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with a stainless steel chassis and many other premium features making it worth the mettle. Featuring IP67 water resistance, and a thickness of 7.5mm, this is the latest offering from HMD Global in the flagship smartphone market.

For the uninitiated, the Sirocco devices from Nokia are high durability Stainless frame phones. The Nokia 8800 Sirocco was the device that came with these features and was considered a luxury phone back then. Now, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is carrying the same legacy with a stainless steel chassis. The Nokia 8 Sirocco is sporting a 5.5-inch p-OLED curved display with QHD resolution. This device has a 3D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. With minimised bezels, the phone ushers Nokia into the bezel-less display game. At the back of the phone, you get a 12MP (f/1.75 aperture) wide angle sensor and a 13MP (f/2.6) telephoto sensor with LED flash. There is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture with display flash. The camera system is backed by Carl Zeiss optics. In terms of hardware, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor which is good. However, the company could’ve fitted it with a Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is the current flagship from Qualcomm. Also, the phone is featuring 6GB LPDDR4 RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage. Running the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, the phone comes with a 3,260 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 and Qi Wireless charging. Connectivity options on the device include WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and misses out on the 3.5mm earphone jack.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at 749 Euros that translates to Rs. 59,500. The flagship is announced to be available from the month of April this year.
