Some customers had complained about WiFi connectivity issues that are addressed in this update. The 163MB update carries the August Security patch for Nokia 6 in India, along with the fix to WiFi issue, and adding a new feature to the smartphone.

HMD Global promised that Nokia phones will receive monthly security updates for two years and the Nokia 6 received the August security patch just after the Pixel received it, which is really fast. This promise also means that Nokia 6 will soon be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo as Pixel is already receiving the update. Coming to the update, it is a 163MB update which has the latest August Security patch along with a fix for WiFi connectivity issues being faced by some customers. Along with security patch and fixes, Nokia 6 has received a new toggle for the Notification panel. By tapping this toggle, you can take screenshots easily on your Nokia 6.

The Nokia 6 runs Stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and comes with monthly updates. The device may soon get an update to Android 8.0 Oreo. Powered by a 3,000mAh battery, the Nokia 6 is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone and it offers micro USB port, 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth, and WiFi as standard connectivity options.
