The Nokia 3.1 Plus is a successor to the Nokia 3.1 that was launched back in May this year. Like previous Nokia phones, it is also part of Google’s Android One programme. So, it will get timely security updates for three years and OS updates for two years. Alongside the Nokia 3.1 Plus, HMD also launched the Nokia 8110 4G Banana phone today.
Nokia 3.1 Plus Specifications
The new Nokia 3.1 Plus sports a 6-inch HD+(1440 × 720 pixels 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display comes with toughened glass for protection. The device has a metal-like matte finish on the back and also sports a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Under the hood, it is powered by the new Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor with PowerVR GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3G RAM with 32GB storage. The storage is also expandable up to 400GB with microSD. In terms of camera, it sports dual rear camera setup having a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. There is an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone also sports 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
Since it is an Android One phone, so it runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo and also upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie. The Dual SIM phone has dedicated Dual SIM and microSD slots. Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS. It packs a 3500mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of juice.
Price, availability
The Nokia 3.1 Plus is priced at Rs. 11,499 for the 3GB+32GB version. The price of the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model is not yet revealed. The Nokia 3.1 Plus will go on sale from October 19 through offline retail stores and Nokia online stores. It comes in Blue, White and Baltic colors. The company also offers 1TB data for Airtel users with Rs. 199 or above plans.
