After the Nokia 2, the company has its device lineup ranging from budget phones to flagships. Now, Nokia is aiming to target first time Android users with its Nokia 1 budget device. According to leaks by Eldar Murtazin in a tweet, we can expect the Nokia 1 to launch in Russia first.
Nokia 1 expected specifications
— Eldar Murtazin (@eldarmurtazin) December 26, 2017 While the complete specifications of the smartphone are not yet out, there is some information available. According to recent leaks, the Nokia 1 will be an entry-level smartphone from the company. It is tipped to feature an IPS-LCD display with HD resolution. Optics of the device are not yet out but we can expect single camera setup on the front as well as back. We can speculate it to be similar to that of the recently launched Nokia 2, which sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The processor on the Nokia 1 is still a mystery, but it is speculated to feature 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. We also expect a microSD card slot to be there for expandable memory. The phone is tipped to be a part of the Android Go program which means faster updates and a lightweight OS. There are also multiple ‘Lite’ apps available on the Play Store for low memory smartphones. Nokia has also adapted the stock Android approach in all its smartphones so we expect this one to be a clean device as well. With Android Go, the Nokia 1 could be an efficient budget offering. The device is expected to be priced at 4,990 Russian Ruble (roughly Rs. 5,550) which is a great price for a budget smartphone.
