Motorola has started sending media invites for a launch scheduled on October 3. The company is expected to launch the Moto X4 at this event. Motorola India has been teasing the phone in its Twitter campaign where it shows the rear of a smartphone with a dual camera setup with a hashtag #Xperience. The smartphone in the teaser does seem to be the Moto X4. To recall, Lenovo owned Motorola had launched the Moto X4 earlier this month in Europe. Moreover, this could be the Android One edition of the Moto X4 which was leaked earlier. It is to be noted that Xiaomi had also recently launched its Mi 5X as an Android One device, dubbed as Mi A1. Now, the Moto X4 as Android One will be very interesting as Moto devices already come with a near stock Android experience.
Moto X4 Specifications
Sporting a 5.2 inch full HD IPS LCD display, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The Android One version of the Motorola Moto X4 is expected to come with Android 8.0 Oreo as Motorola has already confirmed that the Moto X4 will get the Oreo Update. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, clocked at up to 2.2 GHz, the Moto X4 comes in two variants with 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage. Both variants will support microSD card up to 2TB.
The highlight of the phone is its camera. It sports a dual rear camera setup with one 12-megapixel dual autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and another 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture. Some features include ultra-wide angle shot, pro mode, depth effects etc. At the front, it packs a 16-megapixel selfie sensor with flash and f/2.0 aperture. Packing a 3,000 mAh battery, the Moto X4 comes with Water resistance. Connectivity options include USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, and Wi-Fi. One of the highlights is that the phone features Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants. Motorola India has not yet revealed a specific date or any other information regarding the alleged launch of Moto X4 as of now. However, if we talk about pricing, in Europe it is priced at €399 which roughly translates to Rs. 30,300.
