In the leaked photo, the Moto Z2 appears a lot like the Moto G5 Plus. This is only about the design language of the front of the phone. The rear view of the upcoming handset is not shown here. However, the use of 2.5D glass, front-facing dual LED flash and slimmer bezels make the Moto Z2 look way more premium that the G5 Plus.

Motorola Moto Z2 Expected Specifications and Release Date

Coming to the specifications, we have very little information about the Moto Z2. The flagship handset is anticipated to pack a 5.5 inch Quad HD display. A Snapdragon 835 chipset may power up the phone. This could be mated with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The successor of the Moto Z is expected to run Android O out of the box.

Being a member of the Motorola Moto Z family, the Moto Z2 should be compatible with Moto Mods. The phone may house a 12 MP rear camera with laser-assisted autofocus and ultra-wise aperture. An 8 MP selfie shooter may sit at the front of the upcoming smartphone along with a dedicated dual LED flash. The Moto Z2 should come with all the usual connectivity options starting from 4G VoLTE till USB Type C. The phone will boast an excellent build quality. An IPxx water and dust resistance certification might also be there. Talking about the release date, we expect the successor of the Moto Z to launch around August this year.
