Motorola Moto G5 Plus: Specifications, Release Date, Pricing
Till now, we thought that the Moto G5 Plus would rock a 5.5-inch display. However, now it seems that Motorola may have opted for a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) panel. This means that that the phone will not be much larger than the standard Moto G5, which shall sport a 5-inch screen. At the moment we don’t have a clear idea about the externals of the handset. However, the fingerprint sensor or home button is somewhat rounded instead of the square shape of the Moto G4 Plus.
Coming to the internals, the Moto G5 Plus is expected to feature the popular Snapdragon 625 chipset. The 64-bit Octa-core processor has a peak operating frequency of 2.0 GHz and comes with Adreno 506 as the GPU. While there is no explicit mention of RAM in the leaked image, speculations suggest that the smartphone will come with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Coming to software, the Moto G5 Plus will run Android 7.0 Nougat or later. Speaking of the camera department, Motorola’s upcoming mid-ranger will sport a 12 MP rear shooter with Rapid Focus technology. The selfie snapper may be somewhere around a 5 MP or an 8 MP unit. A 3000mAh battery will juice up the future smartphone. Talking about connectivity options, the Moto G5 Plus will support 4G LTE along with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, FM-Radio, and NFC. Motorola will probably release the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus just before the MWC 2017 on 26th February. The pricing is expected to be similar to the launch prices of the Moto G4 family.
