Moto G2 as it has been called so far might not be the official name of the device with model number Moto XT1068. Motorola earlier announced that it is selling the last stock of Moto G with subsidized prices and now, both 8 GB and 16 GB variants are out of stock. Motorola has already imported over 70,000 units of the new Moto G which is expected to sport a bigger 5 inch display, front facing speakers, a more detailed 8 MP camera, besides similar set of hardware. For now it will run the latest Android 4.4.4 kitkat operating system, but Android L update seems more than likely in near future. Only 16 GB internal storage models have been imported this time. Will there be a MicroSD card slot?

The import price for Moto G was 10,900 INR and thus you can expect Moto G2 to improve on its shortcomings and retail for a similar price tag. While Moto G was an amazing value for money device when it was launched, the competition has reached a whole new level these days. Since Xiaomi Mi3 sales have been suspended, it is expected to still dominate 10 to 15k price range.
