You may think that one is a quad core and the other one is a dual core but both perform equally well as Windows Phone devices need lesser resources compared to Android devices. Both get a 1GB RAM and perform similarly but yes, the Moto G does have an edge over the Lumia 525.

The Lumia 525 gets 8GB of internal storage but the same can be expanded with the help of a microSD card by another 64GB and is a boon for music lovers.

Battery and Features

The Lumia 525 gets a 1,430 mAh battery that Nokia claims will last up to 336 hours as stand by time and will offer a talk time of up to 17 hours on 2G and 10 hours 40 minutes on 3G. Motorola on the other hand states that the Moto G will offer you a talk time of up to 24 hours. Both perform equally well in real world conditions and last about a day. The Nokia Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone 8 and the Moto G runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Android has a better application support but Windows Phone has a pretty fresh UI and it feels good to try something new every now and then. So you take the call in this regard as to what operating system would you want on your device.
