The Moto E4 will be offered in two variants in the market. The main reason behind this is the significant display difference of the two smartphones of the series. The Moto E4 is packed with a 5.0-inch display while the E4 Plus will be featuring a 5.5-inch display with screen resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels in both the smartphones. Both these smartphones are also equipped with an IPS panel which will improve the view at different angles. According to recent reports, the 4th generation Moto E is likely to be based on the MediaTek MT6737M Quad Core-SoC which works at 1.3GHz and situated at the lower end of the power scale. The performance might not be competent enough compared to the G5 series which was introduced a few weeks back but, it will be significant enough for the particular segment. The internal storage of the E4 and E4 Plus measures 16GB which can be further expanded via microSD.

In terms of imaging, the E4 packs an 8MP rear camera while the E4 Plus has a 13MP camera. The front camera is a 5MP sensor in both the smartphones of the E series. Connectivity options include N-WLAN and Bluetooth 4.2, LTE and NFC. Both these smartphones also support dual SIM and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Long battery life is one of the USPs of the E4 Plus which is ensured by a 5000mAh battery pack. The entry-level on the other hand features a 2800mAh battery.

Considering the thickness of the smartphones, the E4 will be slightly thick in the segment with 9mm thickness and weighs 151 grams. Whereas, the E4 Plus will be 10mm thick and weighs 198 grams. This is the first time that the E series smartphones will be featuring a fingerprint sensor, which was restricted to slightly higher segments. The metal back is removable in both the smartphones, which is slightly convenient for the users over non-removable battery setup. The Moto E4 will be priced at INR 11,000 while the E4 Plus should hold a price tag of INR 14,000. The color options might include Gold, Grey, and Blue. Let’s see how close these specifications are to the official stats that will be revealed by Moto in near future.
